BidTroller/Troubleshooting

Trouble signing in

BidTroller has no passwords. You sign in with a 6-digit code that we email you each time. Here is what to do when that doesn’t go smoothly.

How sign-in works

  1. Go to bidtroller.com/login and enter your work email.
  2. Tick the I am human check if it shows, then click Email me a sign-in code.
  3. The email comes from no-reply@bidtroller.com with the subject Your BidTroller sign-in code.
  4. Type the code into the page and click Sign in. You land on your dashboard (/app opens it).

A code works for 10 minutes and only once.

The code doesn’t arrive

  • Wait a minute or two, then check Junk or Spam. Search for bidtroller.com.
  • On Microsoft 365, the email may be in quarantine. Ask your IT administrator to release it and to add bidtroller.com to your allowed senders.
  • Check the address you typed. The page says If that address has an account, a code is on its way: it says this for every address, so a typo or an address without a login looks the same. Click Use a different email to start over.
  • BidTroller is invite only. You can’t sign up yourself. If your email has no login yet, ask your company’s owner or admin to invite you. See Adding teammates.

The code doesn’t work

  • That code is wrong or expired: use the code from the newest email. After you ask for a new code, an older one may no longer work. Codes last 10 minutes.
  • Type numbers only. Spaces are fine.
  • Too many attempts. Wait a few minutes and try again.: there were too many code requests or tries in a short time. Wait about 10 minutes.
  • The “I am human” check expired or failed: tick the box again and resend.
  • That link expired or was already used: an old sign-in link was opened. Request a code instead.

You were invited

Your company’s owner or admin adds you by email. You may get an email titled You’re invited to (your company) on BidTroller. Then:

  1. Go to bidtroller.com/login.
  2. Enter the same email address the invitation went to.
  3. Enter the code we email you. There is no password to set.

No invitation email? That’s fine: the login still exists. Just sign in with that address.

The wrong company, or no company

  • If you belong to more than one company, pick the company from the menu next to the BidTroller name at the top. BidTroller remembers your choice on that browser.
  • You are not a member of any organization yet: your login isn’t linked to a company. Ask your company’s admin to invite you, or your BidTroller contact.
  • A page says not found when your role can’t use it. The Admin area, for example, is for owners and admins only. See Roles and permissions.

Signing out

Click Sign out at the top right of any page. On a shared computer, always sign out when you’re done.
