BidTroller/Troubleshooting

Not getting the morning digest

The morning digest comes from digest@bidtroller.com at about 6:00 a.m. Central. A digest goes out on every day it is due, even when nothing new matched: then the subject says No new bids today. So if nothing arrives at all, something below is stopping it.

1. Are your company’s emails turned on?

Open Notifications at the top of any page (/app/notifications). If a yellow note says emails start once BidTroller turns them on, no digests or alerts go out for your company yet. You can still set your rules and send yourself a test. Ask your BidTroller contact when emails will start.

2. Check your own rules

On the same page, under Your rules:

  • Morning digest must be Every day or Weekdays only. Weekdays only means nothing on Saturday or Sunday. Viewers start with the digest Off and can turn it on.
  • Click Save my rules after any change.

Your rules are yours alone. A teammate’s settings never change yours.

3. Did you unsubscribe?

If you clicked Unsubscribe in an email, the Notifications page says You unsubscribed on and the date. Unsubscribing also sets your digest to Off and turns alerts off. To turn emails back on, set Morning digest to Every day (or Weekdays only), tick Send me alerts if you want them, and click Save my rules.

4. Look in Junk, Spam and quarantine

  • Search your mailbox for bidtroller.com, including Junk or Spam. If you find a digest there, mark it as not junk.
  • Companies on Microsoft 365 can quarantine mail before it reaches you. Ask your IT administrator to release it and to add bidtroller.com to your allowed senders. That also keeps sign-in codes coming.
  • Then click Send me a test digest now on the Notifications page. It arrives in a minute or so. You need to have saved your rules once first.

5. For owners and admins: check Recent emails

Owners and admins see Recent emails on the Notifications page: the last 25 emails sent, who they went to, how many jobs, and the status. delivered means it reached the recipient’s mail server, so look in their Junk or quarantine. bounced or failed means it never got there: check the address under Who gets the digest.

The digest came, but a job is missing

  • Your rules filter it: Which jobs (likely only, likely and possible, or everything), Within miles of an office, Value at least and States. Jobs with no stated location or value still come through.
  • A job is only ever sent to you once. If it was in an earlier digest or an alert, it won’t come again.
  • Jobs whose bid date has passed, or marked No bid, are left out.
  • A digest lists up to 50 jobs. When there are more, it says how many more are on the dashboard.

The dashboard always has every job. See Notifications for all the settings.
