Adding teammates

1. Open Admin, then the Users tab.
2. Under Invite someone, enter their Email, and their Name if you like.
3. Pick a Role. It starts as Estimator. See Roles and permissions.
4. Leave Email them an invitation with sign-in steps ticked to send them an email.
5. Click Invite.

They sign in at bidtroller.com/login with that email. We send a one-time code each time, so there is no password to send them. See Trouble signing in.

The Team list shows each person’s role and their Last sign-in. Never means they haven’t signed in yet.

• Only an owner can invite an owner, make someone an owner, or change or remove an owner.
• Your company always needs at least one owner. To hand over, make someone else an owner first.
• You can’t change your own role or remove yourself. Ask another owner.

• Pick a new role next to their name and click Save.
• To remove someone, click Remove, tick the box to confirm, and click Remove again. They lose access to your company right away. Their past work, like notes and status changes, stays on record.

That person is already on your team.

They already have access. Check the Team list.

The invitation email didn’t send

They were still added. Tell them to sign in at bidtroller.com/login with that address.

Too many invitations this hour.

There is a limit of 20 invitations an hour per company. Try again later.

Only an owner can add, change or remove an owner.

Ask an owner, or pick a different role.

Your company needs at least one owner.

Make someone else an owner first.

We couldn’t create that login.

• An invited person who already uses BidTroller with another company gets your company added to their login. They pick between companies from the menu next to the BidTroller name.
• Someone who only needs the morning digest doesn’t need a login. Add them by email under Who gets the digest on the Notifications page.
• Once your company’s emails are on, new teammates get the morning digest unless they are viewers. Each person can change their own on the Notifications page.
